The first race of our 2024 Grand Prix series will be hosted by Holmfirth Harriers at Honley. This is a closed race for members of YVAA affiliated clubs aged 33+. As this is the first race of 2024, all athletes will need to collect race numbers, so please arrive early to help us get the race started on time. You will use the same race number for the whole series. Please look after it between races, as damaged timing chips can occasionally fail to register when crossing timing mats, as there’s a cost to replace them.

Entry

Entry is online only; there is no entry on the day. To enter, you must first register for the series. Fees are £10 for your first race, and £6.75 for additional races (or £6 if you pre-enter them when you register). Entry closes Friday April 26th.

Course

The race is almost 6 miles and includes field paths, tracks, woodland paths and linking stretches of tarmac. The race is an anti-clockwise loop, starting with the long steady climb up to Thurstonland, followed by a mainly flat(ish) section across fields to Farnley Tyas before a long downhill return to Neiley. Glorious views on a clear day, if you look up from your feet!

The race organiser is Adam Sunderland.
